Half Marathon Awards

At a time when the Government has announced swinging cuts the organisers of the Eastbourne Half Marathon are delighted to be offering funding from the sponsorship monies which have been collected.

The main beneficiaries of the 2010 event are the Chestnut Tree Childrens Hospice and Eastbourne RNLI, and as in previous years, some money is reserved to help with smaller projects in the Eastbourne area.

Previously donations have been made to sports clubs, schools, scouts, guides etc and projects have included the provision of equipment, funding trips, helping develop sensory gardens and even for a school keeping chickens.

Written applications are now invited for funding this year. Experience has shown that sometimes as little as £100 will make a big difference to whether an organisation can undertake a project and the Half Marathon team look forward to seeing how they can help such plans come to fruition. The absolute maximum which can be considered will be for funding up to £500.

Please send applications to Reid+Dean, 99 South Street, Eastbourne BN21 3LU to arrive no later than Monday 15th November.
